there is no fun places in my town !! :( "HELP LOL"

well first WELCOMEEE THANKS FOR READING THIS BLOG :D ! ࣪˖ ִֶָ⋅ᡣ𐭩 ་༘࿐

ok ya'll know i live in Egypt Right? like from my profile

when i search for ideas to spend the summer i see a lot of people be like :-

"GO OUT AND SEE THE TREES !! RE CONNECT WITH NATURE!!"

"GO AND SUPPOURT YOUR LOCAL BANDS!!"

"GO TO A NEAR BY CAFE OR LIBRARY!!"

and i think all of you are very lucky to have fun stuff like this because here in Egypt living is EXHAUSTING

Don't get me wrong i LOVEE my country but let me break it down for u

1- Egypt is a Desert country but OFC there are trees!! but not in average neighborhoods it's just a little amount of trees in your way

2- THERE'S NO LOCAL BANDS OR SINGERS IN MY AREA OR PROBABLY THE ENTIRE TOWN and between you and me , if by any chance there were some concerts , my parents won't let me go there , maybe i can go to concerts when i am at college :) / note : im not the type of people who sneak out because its BAD

"another note there is a town in cairo called (Zamalek) it have a lot of trees , art galleries , and BANDS! there was a 'artistic news' page i follow on insta that said there was an SYSTEM OF A DOWN TRIBUTE NIGHT CONCERT THERE OMG"

3- There are 2 types of cafes in Egypt : fancy ones with expensive coffee  / poor  local ones that is  only for MEN 💀

and about the libraries we don't have libraries in my neighborhood , but my school library is cool but they open it very often , it's mostly closed ,

and yeah BTW there's no record stores here but there is 2 record stores here in Cairo and some Vinyls exist in flea markets

if you're QUISTIONING  what the heck i have in my area to have fun well i can go and buy some fruit juices :D

they 're every where here and they are cheap and tasty we mostly call them" sugarcane juice shops" because that what they mostly sell but they have tons of juices and even milkshakes so they are like a coffee shop that have anything but coffee LOL

I go a lot with my friends to buy Skin care products and stuff , I like buying candles and incense also we can go eat some pizza , there is a park near our school but it's a lil expensive :(

SO  what are your thoughts :D ? or solutions or even if u don't know how to help i really appreciate u reading all of my yapping here lol

it's not that bad to be an egyptian guys im just so dramatic :P

i really have no suggestions for what you could do, as i am myself in a very similar situation (frankly, all i am doing right now is reading, listening to the radio and awaiting my exam results later this month in fear), but i really enjoyed reading what you had to say about egypt! i live in cyprus and the situation in regards to music is really similar here: barely any major musician or band ever comes here (one of my friends told me that they believe that, when a musician comes to cyprus, their career has, essentially, ended after they attended an eros ramazotti concert here some years ago and were the only one who knew and could sing along to his songs) and, when they do (in the case of the town where i live) their music is either appealing to a demographic of 30- and 40-year old russian speakers or 40-year-old dads (i listen to my local rock radio station a lot and heard advertisements for, among others, a bryan adams concert and a dire straits cover band (apparently a critically acclaimed one, though!)) it is very good that cairo, at least, has an active music scene (and that system of a doubt tribute concert sounds exciting!)
your description of the two types of cafés made me laugh so hard ! though, i really cannot say the situation is the same here: cheap coffee places are relatively easy to find (i have a very clear memory from two years ago of going to the old town in the morning and seeing a very long queue of elderly cypriot men outside of a coffee shop just to try some turkish coffee )
there are not any libraries in my neighbourhood either! there is one record store, which i have never visited (i have a small cd collection and most of my cds were either ordered online, passed down from my mum (i own two jazz cds that were issued specifically as a new year’s gift to employees of an aluminium extraction company she used to work for in the year 2000. no one on discogs has it and, while the music itself is mediocre, i see it as a prized possession!) or bought by me while on holiday three years ago), but really should!
