Hey, what are books that you recommend that don't really lean into what booktok recommends a lot. Some of my favourite authors are rick Riordan, MJ Arlidge, Kathleen Glasgow and Johnathan Stroud. I enjoy anything supernatural, horror but not overly gory, fantasy with good world building and detective's.

have you heard of horrid by katrina leno? its for young adults and its like a horror ish book the vibes are really really good, its also kind of short!
also sadie by courtney summers is SO good. its very underrated in my opinion its one of my favs like ever and i try to rec it all the time!
