Released in 1994, 紅色張清芳 (which translates to "Red Zhang QingFang") is by Taiwanese singer Zhang QingFang, also now known as Stella Chang. The album was created at the peak of her career during the 1990s, when she was selling the most albums and releasing a new album yearly. Her popularity led to her receiving nominations for the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards seven times over the course of the 1990s in the categories of Best Taiwanese Female Singer and Best Female Mandarin Singer. All of this sufficiently shows that Zhang QingFang is an impactful musician in the history of Taiwanese music. (All information here is sourced from her Taiwanese wiki page since her English one is a stub). This is by far one of the most memorable albums that I got from my mom. I listen to it often off of my CD player when I am trying to sleep or when I am doing whatever because it is just that good. This is genuinely one of those albums that I listen to off shuffle from beginning to end because I don't even want to steer away from the intended tracklist order. My favorite song definitely has to be 愛得很小心 (I Love Very Carefully) because the intensity of the emotions of the song really appeal to me. I also like 燃燒一瞬間 (Burn for a Moment) maybe because its the first track on the CD or because it just feels like an extremely strong starting song for the album, always making me feel excited to hear the rest of the album. This is again one of my favorite Taiwanese albums, so I obviously would very highly recommend listening to it if you are on Spotify and you want a Taiwanese Album to listen to, as well as "Men Talk" which isn't on the album but is a song I quite enjoy by her (08/03/2024). — Mars ᓚᘏᗢ |
