Hii!! It's like 3am as im typing this lol but i was having a mini mental ramble and i did want to post this on tiktok but the people over there have an attention span of a scared frog and are quick to label because they assume everything on their fyp is meant to be tailored to them exactly and anything that isn't is "strange" or "unusual" or "stupid" and just have to give their opinions on it without thinking shit thru
Basically i was thinking abt how everything is subjective and seeing thru an actual objective lens is actually near impossible, like think of it this way, everyones lives is a painting in a massive gallery and no one has the ability to freely view other paintings and enjoy others paintings unless its similar to theirs in some aspect. since no one can freely view anything, that also means everything we see is thru a subjective lens rather than objective, as sure we may be able to view the bigger picture but we sure as hell cant view the entire gallery. This also means key concepts we learn is all from a subjective lens rather than an objective one, and since we are essentially conditioned in a sense to view everything from this lens than an objective one, everything we taught and know takes on this lens too, even "objective" subjects such as maths or sciences. im not trying to say that these subjects spread misinformation or are fake, but rather the fact that these subjects teach us to think in one way no matter how they are packaged and given to us. like maths does help you to find imaginative ways to figure out a problem, but due to the lack of variety in answers we are allowed, it still subconsciously forces you down a predetermined path. sure science allows you to be imaginative and think beyond the chains of earth, but science is a theory subject and these theories could be disproven, yet we limit our imagination to fit its laws. yes it helps us understand the physical world and i do understand that the aim isnt to understand everything beyond this, but im using it as an example as it plays a part in our subjective view of the world.
let me phrase this all a different way, english is a language where we have tons of words for colour, yet not a lot for taste, so we would see it as impossible to describe how something tastes as our language doesn't accommodate that, so we all collectively have a good visual understanding but limited taste understanding. However for some languages this is very much opposite, they can define tastes extremely well and have such specific vocabulary which allows them to perceive taste at a higher level than english speakers, but have limited language for colours which prevents their visual understanding. these just explain how subjectively we view the world depending on where we live, and this also makes it difficult for us to comprehend the objective view of the world as we all have a different understanding which wont fit together in a way which makes sense. Using this, you could argue "impossible" and "possible" are subjective concepts rather than objective ones. because our understanding of the world can sort of be determined by our languages, that also means that people who speak different languages may have a slightly different idea of what those words mean. sure they would have **similar** meanings but at the end of the day, they will be perceived **slightly** different than the way you or i perceive it. sure you could argue probability is a good way to universally agree on whats considered impossible or possible, but then black swan events exist so clearly probability may not be the most reliable way if it can still fail us, and if it can fail us that means it isn't through an objective lens. since impossible and possible aren't exactly reliable, we could use words such as comprehendible and incomprehensible, but using the same logic those also aren't ideal words to use either.
im gonna end this here as im tired cause its late and i highly doubt anyone is gonna read it either, but if you do, hiii!!, and feel free to debate me in the comments or criticize/challenge the idea, im all ears and i rlly wanna meet like minded people!! i would love friending you if you have debatable thoughts, and no this doesnt mean we have to agree on anything but its always nice to hear what others think and gnn!!

I actually agree completely. BUT then again I could have interpreted this in a way that I think I agree but might not actually reflect with what you actually meant. And that's OK I guess. We developed language primarily for simple things, mainly survival. And I suppose that would explain why some people don't get along. Lack of understanding.
I'm not sure if you'll relate to this. But, for example, me and my brother have so many little inside jokes and shared experiences, that we have our own vocabulary which makes it waaay more effective to communicate with him than another person. Not everyone has this. But the point is we worked together on developing our "language" to make it even easier and faster to understand ourselves.
BUT (another but) we still don't communicate as well on other subjects such as our feelings and emotions. We don't connect as much in that department. And that is also OK. I have other people who are very good at discussing that. Meaning not every communication is perfect, but it can be for something.
One thing I thought was, what if we developed a language, an universal language, without regionalisms or any difference between class, ethnic, or location that could encompass the whole spectrum of communication in human kind, able to describe every smell, every feeling, every color, every sound, every taste, every thing...
It could not be a speech based language because everywhere in the world our speech is already biased to our current language AND accent.
But then if such a language existed... Would people get along? idk
Of course this is hypothetical, no one would ever adopt this and even if people did they would eventually change it too. Every language is constantly changing...
shit i'm yapping
But what you said... indeed people tend to go toward the subjective side.
In fact this whole conversation is subjective there is not a single objective function to what we're discussing. And I actually find that quite exciting! As if we are treading into the unknown, into what people haven't thought of yet (although they might have)
Yeah... This was good. THanks I_I
