Pretty Mouth, Basque and Deaf Club were all absolutely fantastic bands! Basque is an incredibly cool local band from my area. If you love screamo and/or skramz music, you’ll LOVE their album they just put out earlier this year. I couldn’t recommend them more. Deaf Club is a band I wasn’t too familiar with, but their performance blew me away. Their frontman was super energetic and their performance was really enjoyable. I didn’t get any photos of Pretty Mouth or Basque, but I did get one photo of Deaf Club!

Fun Meter: 5/5

Memorable Moments:

• Singer of Deaf Club casually saying they wrote a song on acid at the Canadian border that morning and that they were going to try to play it for us. The song was nuts lmao

Meth. is an experimental metal band from Chicago (I believe? 💀) who has definitely become one of my favourite metal bands,,, ever. Their sound is very existential, raw and chaotic. 

Fun Meter: 5/5 

Memorable Moments: 

• The singer of Meth. breaking his forehead open and smearing blood all over the walls of the venue. Their entire performance was very eerie but memorable.

SeeYouNextTuesday is easily one of my favourite heavy bands. I never thought I’d get to see them live, so seeing them play at a DIY venue with  thirty other people in attendance  was a real treat. It’s definitely a night I’ll never forget. They sounded even BETTER live! The vocalist was absolutely nuts.

Fun Meter: 1000/10

Memorable Moments:

• Getting to talk to Drew before they’re set and buy a hoodie from him! 
• The entire set was memorable, no questions asked.
