The "friend" necklace.

(if you haven't seen it watch the trailer for this piece of shit here.)

...i think we can all agree this is FUCKING STUPID right?? are we seriously that set back that now we have to rely on a NECKLACE for friendship??? This is genuinely dystopian.

Also, the presentation is just baffling to me. 4 out of the 5 scenes have someone else than the user of the necklace in frame, and 3 of those have those people directly interacting with the user. However, most of those scenes have the user prefer to talk to the necklace, rather than who they're talking to.

What kinda socially inept TROGLODYTE would perfer using the necklace over TALKING TO THE REAL HUMAN RIGHT NEXT TO THEM????????

Also, in the scene where the user and who I assume are his friends are gaming, he seems genuinely displeased until the necklace pops up and now OHHH SUDDENLY HE'S HAVING FUN!!!!

What.

WHAT???????????

IS THIS PRODUCT SERIOUSLY SUGGESTING THAT COUCH CO-OP WITH THE BOYS (THE MOST ASCENDANT EXPERIENCE EVER) is WORSE THAN TALKING TO YOUR LITTLE AI FRIEND??????????????????????

This shit genuinely offends me on a primal level. Also, the AI isn't even comforting the guy while his friends are (playfully) calling him ass at the game. That I'd kinda understand. THE AI IS ALSO CALLING HIM ASS.

In conclusion: Go make friends. Don't use a necklace to pretend like somebody cares about you.

Before watching the trailer I was genuinely confused on what u were talking about, I expected it was some indie film trailer, not an actual AI based product. Look as much of an introvert I might be and my lack of really close friends, I honestly couldn’t imagine for the life of me spending sm money on an artificial companion. Even online friends are a far better alternative if u struggle sm with real life human interaction. Overall I’m generallt appalled that we really have reached this state of dystopia, it seems that each day we’re getting closer to the fictional stories we made years ago
