thinking about the future

it's been a while! i've been busy with trips and local events. summer's been very busy for me, so it felt like it went by really fast. the break's actually coming to an end for me in a few weeks. and with that, i'll be in my last year of high school. i'm pretty excited about college applications.

still, it's all a little scary. i'm going to be "growing up" in a way that i'll have a hard time adjusting to. living on my own sounds great, but there are so many things i know so little about. growing up, i wasn't ever given chores, and even now my mom will just give hints about things she wants done. as a result, i don't really know how to properly clean rooms or when to do it. not to mention cooking... i hope i can overcome that. there's so many foods i want to try.

i've also decided that i want a completely clean start, online and offline. i know it's gonna be a while, but i'm preparing to let go of my friends as we go our own ways. deleted some old accounts too. i'm leaving behind all old incarnations of "me" and really becoming myself.

i'm also going to watch some movies and play games that i haven't gotten around to yet! i keep promising myself i will, but i keep getting sidetracked.
