MY BOOK

OKAY GANG. so basically i’m ATTEMPTING to write like a fantasy novel that has betrayal, realisation, angst, romance, enemies to lovers, LITERALLY EVERY TROPE. i haven’t worked on it in ages because i have zero motivation 90% of the time but why not introduce some of the characters here!!!

so the main characters who i have the most detail on are called magnus, genesis and orion. magnus and genesis are the good guys and orion is the villain, but genesis eventually turns to orion’s side. SHE HAS HER REASONS ✋

orion basically is a god - his parents were gods, so he grew up very sheltered, but after seeing the real twisted world he knew that he had to change it!! however, he decides that he has to destroy the world to rebuild it - so not really a fan favourite idea across the board. sure, his intentions are good, but how many people is he gonna have to kill to get his way? 

obviously magnus tries to stop him - he grew up as the son of a lord and lady, so well loved yet he never had to earn anything himself. so when offered the opportunity to help save the world and fight orion, he of course jumped at the chance. but throughout the story, he goes through intense character development, trauma and realisation before he realises that he is fighting against a better world, and that he is just a genuinely bad person at heart (not because he was trying to stop orion, but because he is a self centered dick wirh a main character hero complex).

now GENESIS. my forever favourite. so at first, we meet her as a commoner. she was taken in by a family when she was little. she didn’t present herself as anything special, but due to her healing skills and overall skills in both protecting and fighting, magnus decides to take her in as one of his team members. he grows feelings for her, but after meeting up with orion a few times, she realises that she aligns with his morals and slowly grows feelings for him, leaving magnus confused as to why she wasn’t really putting in effort anymore. after confronting her about it, genesis finds it all too much and tries to take her own life, but discovers that she is actually half-god. she does sadly temporarily die, but she comes back during the final battle to assist orion because she was with the gods and can reappear whenever or something - i haven’t thought it all through properly, if you couldn’t tell.

i’ll update this more when i actually reopen the document and can remember more about the storyline, but that’s it for now!!!
