Summer Reading

Im just complaining to complain, but what's up with summer reading? I get that it's to "keep your brain working" and thinking critically while you're not learning, but there are so many other ways to do that. Not to mention for higher level classes. Why do we have to read longer and more challenging books just because we're taking a harder class. Like, I get that this means we can think more critically, but PLEASE, PLEASE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! Most of the kids in these classes read in their free time anyways, I get in school reading, but let us read on our own time and NOT FOR A GRADE! I love to read, and the books the make us read aren't that bad, but them being like, "You need to read this so your reading comprehension skills stay sharp 🤓👆" LIKE SHUT UP! Being forced to read makes me not want to read, but that's just kinda like me being told to do stuff; I was gonna do it b4 but now I ain't. Lowkey, I like the summer reading books, BUT STOP FORCING US TO READ! I'm taking a high level class, and I have to read THREE BOOKS! Usually it's only one, BUT WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS THAT THE REGULAR CLASSES THIS YEAR DON'T GOTTA READ! FUCK THIS ToT. I'm gonna cry ):C. Anywaysss, bye bye :D!!
