so in my opinion drawing furry characters does not equate to being a furry that dresses up in fursuits and stuff. i rarely draw furries outside of commissions, art trades, etc but i do have a couple ocs that are furries. i've maintained this belief since before they've existed
i'm definitely not the person to dress up in a fursuit, maybe if i got paid but never casually or as part of an interest. i just really like branching out of drawing humans and it's fun drawing other humanoid/anthropomorphic characters imo. i also don't identify as a furry or being apart of the "furry fandom" or whatever it's called.
i'm open to a civilized discussion about this but don't be a retard and call me a furry even if you're also a furry. i'm aware that there is a nasty part to the furry subculture and i've specifically avoided it; every furry i've ever met or known personally is not gross like that. pls don't be stupid in comments. pretty please with a cherry on top. thx
that's all i just wanna hear some opinions on this or see if anyone else feels the same way

honestly, i think its personal. i think subjecting people to a specific space of artistic / individual expression is lame. i can appreciate furry characters, or even draw furry characters without personally associating myself with the crowd. like sometimes its just for fun or vibes. trying new things like having a furry character doesnt make someone a furry tbh, and if thats how other people feel thats fine. i think theres a difference between "i think furries are cool/ i like furries" vs "i am a furry"

Actually most furries don't own fursuits, they are expensive/laborious to make, and doing comms of furries hardly counts, if you are engaging with furry content on the regular, that makes you a furry, im sick rn cant type well
