Hi !!
As somebody who shops and wears gothic lollita fashion, I have a hard time finding dresses that have my favorite color-purple. Most dresses are black with red details, but what I want are purple details. I've been kindof on a taobao viewing spree and I've found a LOT of great purple gothic lollita dresses for great prices !! Taobao is pretty confusing to navigate but there are tons of great tutorials online ヾ(￣(●●)￣)ノ

If you’re looking for more purple, definitely check out Atelier Pierrot. It’s one of the things they’re known for. Bodyline also has some purple if you want cheaper stuff, but… Well, it’s Bodyline, lol
Also, several of these dresses I would more classify as sweet than gothic, depending on how they’re coorded. It’s a common misconception that substyle is decided by color or motif, when in reality, cut and styling plays a huge role too. I’m something of a substyle anarchist myself, so it’s totally cool to just wear what you like! But if you’re looking to wear strictly gothic only, it’s worth keeping in mind the overall style. All of these dresses are gorgeous :)

I made this list because a lot of Taobao brands provide dresses that are better quality than bodyline with a price more affordable than brands like atelier pierrot. (I’m familiar with both but your suggestions help other people so I appreciate it !)
As for subgenre, there are so many that it’s gotten hard to keep track of, so I admit I make some mistakes some times. But I think nowadays more than ever the mixing of subgenres has been pretty popular, so from a modern standpoint, I think some of these pieces could be considered both depending on your perspective!
