Thoughts on a game I played recently!

Alright I'm gonna make a serious blog post now.

Played a New(ish) Horror Game yesterday called "Still Wakes the Deep" and i absolutely loved it!!

As a Game Dev Student i was a aware of the work of the developers (The Chinese Room) on the game "Amnesia: A Machine for pigs" (which i will refer to as "AMFP" from now on) and my opinion on that game stood firm for a long time. it was a serious downgrade from the masterpiece that was "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" but knowing what i do now with the expectations The Chinese Room had to live up to and playing through AMFP again i fell in love with the game.

So My expectations for "Still Wakes the Deep" Were quite high and im happy to say my expectations were surpassed TENFOLD.

I am of the firm belief that this game is one of the greatest horror games of the modern era.

The Scotland and Yorkshire Representation (With the accents not being the butt end of a joke) Was amazing to see being a Yorkshire lad myself.

The Setting and Atmosphere was Fucking Phenomenal and the Storytelling was pure Gold.
