I found a ton of old photos from Warped Tour in 2009. As someone in their 30s, I cannot imagine being outside in the Texas heat, crowded together with a bunch of sweaty (and smelly) teenagers, surviving on Monster Energy, and thriving in the sun while watching our favorites bands perform. I am short in height and somehow always made my way up to the front of the crowd. No one ever got mad either. I had the excuse of "oh, I can't see and they are my favorite band!"Â
It is crazy to think that I was able to see some of my 2000 favorites perform such as Dance Gavin Dance, Meg & Dia, and Breathe Carolina. I even got to meet Dance Gavin Dance to get my shirt signed. I'd make it all day without passing out or getting tired.
2009 Warped Tour was a time to be alive.Â

These photos are so sick! I don't know if I would've been able to survive warped tour, or any kind of fest in the middle of summer. I would've burned alive lmaoo

I went every year when I was in high school. I loved it! It was so hot and humid in Houston during the summers too. No idea how I survived, probably from the fuel of knowing I'd see my favorite artists perform.

I also burned a ton. That first photo is proof. Haha!

With how easily I burn, I would love to see what I would've looked like after going to warped, especially in a place like Houston too! In Canada our summers can get pretty bad, but I've heard a lot of places in Texas and the surrounding states can be awful in summer if you don't like hot weather lmao
