My top five favorite movies, and why i think you should watch them/why i love them

5. 2001: a space odyssey- i think that this movie is so visually stunning and the set is so incredible, the shots are so ahead of their time and the way that the movie was made in 1968 really amazes me because it looks so much better than movies i've seen that were made years later. ALSO the use of symmetry and the artistic understanding of lines and it just all looks so beautiful and amazing if you love sci fi or just ART in general its a must watch

4. The perks of being a wallflower: i love perks, it was honestly a tearjerker at times, it was really nice to see a loving friend group of outcasts who seem to understand each other. it was a really quotable movie and i still think of the line "we accept the love we think we deserve" fairly often, i think that if you see this movie at the right time in your life it can really leave an imprint on you. I loved the portrayal of "introverted or socially awkward" people and it felt accurate to me, very good movie.

3. Ten things I hate about you: i think that kat stratford has a super duper cool style and she is so smart and individualistic which i love, i think that patrick is a cool character and the two of them are a very cute couple and are perfect for each other even if they met under the weird circumstances of...being paid to go out with her.

2. Batman begins: i think batman begins is the best batman movie, I love it every time I rewatch it and I love how it's more focused on batman himself and his origin as apposed to the dark knight, which at one point I liked better, being more joker focused. Such a great movie.

1. Donnie darko: I LOVE DONNIE DARKO. where do I even begin?! the soundtrack is impeccable (in the theatrical cut specifically) there is a really great round plot that meets up at the end to all make sense. The scenes look super cool. It's so interesting to me, it really just speaks to me so much like it truly is my favorite movie. It's also pretty funny at times which I didnt expect at first. The scenes are so interesting, the characters are so interesting, it's very visually appealing, theres a great soundtrack. I LOVE IT, WATCH IT.
