last year or so i bought a chest binder from gc2b, i got a black XS (?) and i haven't worn it like, at all.. until recently since I've bought a new one (waiting for it to arrive).
the reason as to why i didn't wear it a lot + why im wearing it now is because i think its just the tiniest too small. for me, gc2b's size sheet was extremely confusing considering how many different things you had to measure, so i didn't fully understand which one of their binder sizes would best suit me and so i sorta guessed (more of a personal experience than an actual review). it fits, it doesn't constrict my ribs but it feels too small on my chest and gets really tight around my neck and shoulders after a while, but that could just be my posture honestly. the only other thing with the binder is that my chest spills out a bit around my armpits, im not sure if thats a normal binder thing since i havent seen anything about it or if its a me thing but it gets really annoying and my arms rub against it from time to time. the longest ive worn it (today)(like right now) is 7:30am to 11:20am, and i get home around 4 so im hoping to wear it till then. I've found that i get a lot more warm and sweaty when im wearing my chest binder, i had worn it for 3ish hours outside and came back sweating buckets (it was high 13C)
the new binder I've bought is from spectrum outfitters, i got a white S and the first thing i noticed was their shipping price. the binder itself was 81 AUD and the shipping was 18 AUD, since im from Australia i expected something closer to the price of the binder but it surprised me when it wasn't. not speaking for others, since i know $99 isn't easily obtained for everyone, but i think for a family company from the UK having this price for Australians is pretty good compared to other things I've bought. again, not speaking for others and im not exactly sure if things have changed but my first binder from gc2b was much more from what i remember.
my binder from spectrum was shipped out i think a day or so after i had ordered it which is amazing to me, so im having high hopes for the actual binder when it arrives. this blog didn't really have an opinion or point i just wanted to talk about this since i feel like its a good step in my transition. the only thing i regret doing is ordering a white binder instead of black since it can be seen under my school t-shirt but i don't care enough to complain or get a refund.
i think im going to add to this blog later and give an honest review on both gc2b and spectrum binders since that sounds cool to do.
