Yapping About South Park Shippers and Ships

Hello there! I'm Gret, and now, you might be wondering, "Yo, cool, but who r u to talk abt what others ship?" and to that I say shhh I'm a real person with personal opinions, and at the end of the day you're the one reading what I have to say.

OK. we're going to be talking abt my view on shipping in the fandom, and some specific ships, and I want this blog to kinda be structured like this:

- Shipping in the SP fandom

- Stendy (Stan x Wendy) VS Style (Stan x Kyle)

-KYMAN. (Kyle x Cartman)

-Creek (Craig x Tweek)

Shipping in the SP fandom

ok, let's get into it. SO. If shipping is gonna get done in this fandom, you better believe that 99% of the time it will be done between the kids, from my experience. Now, shipping is okay for any fandom. It's fun and mostly innocent, that ofc if the ship isn't problematic as in incest, selfcest, or shipping a minor with an adult. I personally see shipping the kids together as something ok, as long as it doesn't become sexual. Fluff is ok to write, but straight-up smut and drawing NSFW artwork feels not ok at all, taking into account that they are originally little 10-year-olds. Some might excuse this with "Oh but they are aged up in my fic/drawing" which,, ok, but still feels a little weird. Personally, I recommend writing and drawing more explicit things after the Covid Special, when they are all in their 30's. Overall, have fun shipping ig :))

Stendy (Stan x Wendy) VS Style (Stan x Kyle) 

Personally, I ship both Stendy and Style, though I prefer Style more. Now, hear me out, I'm not one of those "Style is better than Stendy eww" type of people who just want to push their ships onto others, so I won't. I hate it when I see people defending their ship saying the ship is canon without the ship being either Creek or Stendy, cause I hate to break it to you, but your ship happens to be fan-made. The only reason to which I see Style as the better ship IMO, is because it isn't toxic. Some might argue "Oh but Stendy used to be all ok at the start of the show", which, ok, it might've been, but because the whole relationship is an on-and-off and at the moment of typing Stan seems to not be giving two shits about Wendy, I believe Style is better in this context. Stan might've started freaking out when Wendy broke up with him, but that was because Stan is a 10-year-old boy who doesn't understand the complexity of a relationship and what that actually means to him. I feel like if someone says "Stan is a toxic boyfriend" should remember his age. This isn't happening in his later teens when he can actually comprehend wtf is happening. He doesn't know what having a girlfriend actually is, and considering that he won't even put in the effort to actually get to know Wendy, I feel like at the canon age he would be better paired with Kyle. Hell, it doesn't even have to be romantic, they just get along better and know each other better, and Stan actually worries about Kyle when something is going on, compared to the episode Deep Learning where we clearly see Stan not worrying about Wendy herself, but his image after Wendy would break up with him again. 

What I'm trying to say, is maybe we should just cut Stan some slack and let him be happy with who he is happy most of the time anyway, just saying :))

KYMAN. (Kyle x Cartman)

BOY OH BOY oh boy. Another ship for the enemies-to-lovers trope lovers. I mean, it's uh,, ok if you want to ship it, it's just that I feel like Cartman did so much wrong to Kyle that I could never see them actually together. The ship feels toxic. Kyle is a jew while Cartman constantly shows his hate for jews and makes fun of him for it. I hate it when people ship Kyman and start saying "canon" only because of the incident w Cartman, Kyle, and Nicole. Cartman's only reason for saying the whole "Kyle is my boyfriend" shit was to ruin Kyle's life and chance at finally getting a girlfriend, and ofc Cartman is racist, when he heard that Nicole likes Kyle, he thought that the only perfect match for Nicole would be Tolkien, that only amplifying his desire to make Kyle's life a continued living hell. Anyway, if you ship Kyman, you do you, but please don't force the ship on others.

Creek (Craig x Tweek)

Yoo the last part of my rant! SO. The second canon ship. Very wholesome and very very cute. I love how you can differentiate old-seasons Tweek from earlier seasons from the fact that he's less stressed and twitches less often. I personally like to think it's because of Craig, but that's just me. Anyway. What I wanted to discuss here was actually my opinion of other ships with these guys. To shorten the time you spent reading this, my opinion is that I don't find them that comforting and nice overall. Now I know some might have ships like this, to which I have no problems, though, again, even if not as insisting w this as I am with Kyman shippers, please don't push your ship onto others, and more specifically me. Tho, personally, I still think y'all are pretty cool. Especially the ones shipping Craig and Kyle,, ^^
