Closet of Nightmares

I've noticed this strange phenomenon of getting nightmares every single time my closet door is open/unlocked [it has a lock on the outside for some reason]. It's not like I have a fear of the dark or of my closet. In fact, when it happens it's usually when I'm unaware I left it ajar and don't find out till the next morning. And it's not just one nightmare either. It's a ton of them right after another. After I wake up and go back to sleep, more will start. It's gotten to the point that everytime I get one, I'll get up to check my closet. And lo and behold each time that thing is open. You'd think I'd remember to close it at this point, but I rush in the morning and at night I don't turn on my light so sometimes I don't notice. Spooky. Lol.
