Genuinely what happened to just minding your own business and letting people do their own thing. Like, I don't know if it's only me, but I keep seeing posts on every platform ever just ridiculing other people and what they like and it's getting on my nerves. Like someone will post a full TikTok saying "Motley Crue is better than BTS" and bashing BTS entirely and then when people who like BTS comment on it saying they don't like Motley Crue they act surprised. Like what the fuck did you expect? Why does it matter to you if someone likes BTS? I don't even like BTS but it's getting on my nerves how people need to hate on random artists. Like damn no one is forcing you to listen to them why do you care? I also saw someone straight up bash people who wanted to study psychology in college/university and their justification was that a few people who they knew wanted to major in psychology but still needed help themselves. Like, generalization much? And now with school around the corner, everyone is back to that "clothes I better not see at school this year" bullshit. Like how does that concern you? Please just learn to be happy with the things you like without feeling the need to bring everyone who doesn't like exactly that down. It's even funnier to me when it's two alt subcultures fighting like you both are considered weird by the general public? It's also weird when "punks" do it as if some of the ideologies in the punk subculture aren't non-conformity and authenticity or something

My best advice is to get off most mainstream media platforms, like tiktok. I basically only use spacehey and instagram for my art and it's SO nice to be off mainstream social media and unaware of all the drama lmao XD
Sadly I cannot escape them anywhere tons of "alt" folks at my school are exactly the same :(

That sucks so bad. I live in an area where there basically were no other people who shared similar style/taste in music that were my age so it was quite isolating but I also never had to deal with the cringe lmao. I'm sorry you have to deal with that :/

Yeah I choose to stay unbothered too lmao. Life is too short to worry about other people's drama when it is childish or doesn't concern you. Good for you dude :))
