There is basic jeopardy introduced by being confined and able to respawn. Parts of the game are randomized terrain, forcing unobstructed movement, trap free zones, enabling escape routes be spotted in wireframe too... As well as free binary choice. You reboot your life like it was a clock - and never one regenerating too fast. It takes work, a significant cost. If we're going to do that much work for you, we'd rather we didn't have to do it twice.t.

His tone of voice changed. He grew silent, his face lost its glow, even as he remained standing right in front of them. His hands fell to his sides, the colour drained from his cheeks, his lips lost their redness. He was gone. And they were left there. Alone with themselves. Just like that.
