A Prince of Hope fully embodies their aspect, as well as ghosts it.
Unlike their passive counterpart, a Bard of Hope, which passively
invites Hope for others sake, the Prince actively chooses to destroy
their aspect, and themselves in the process, for their personal goals.
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint or ORV is a story about
Stories, hope itself, unending tragedy, and a generic power fantasy isekai. Kim
Dokja, our main character, represents all these themes, and specifically the aspect of Hope through his Modifier < Demon King of Salvation >
「Kim
Dokja's salvation was cruel. Like rescuing a drowning person with a
blade, those saved by him were inflicted an unhealable wound. 」
Kim Dokja's Modifier as the < Demon King of Salvation > fully embodies the self destructive aspect of a Prince of Hope. Throughout ORV Kim Dokja fully embodies Hope. Kim Dokja survived off of the webnovel Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World or TWSA. TWSA is a tragedy. One with needless bloodshed, violence, rape, and suffering. Characters are tortured and put through unimaginable suffering, solely for the sake of the story. And yet, it is also Hope itself as this story allowed Kim Dokja to survive. Kim Dokja staved off this webnovel as its sole reader for 13 years. Ghosting Hope by finding Hope through tragedy. Once the novel ends its serialization, Kim Dokja has found that it has merged with reality, now fully embodying his Hope from TWSA he chooses to create a perfect Epilogue, destroying the world of TWSA, and his Hope, in the process.
As
Kim Dokja progresses through the Scenarios, completing unimaginable
feats to change the world and reach the Epilogue he desires, he saves
lives, changes fates and incites his companions to have hope for a
brighter future and survive the apocalypse, becoming Salvation itself in
their eyes. And yet, the Scenarios of TWSA demand a cost to
every story, and so Kim Dokja pays the price every single time. After
all, his Epilogue involves the happy ending of TWSA, not him. Dying over
and over again, suffering unimaginable pain, narrowly avoiding true
death each and every single time. All to save his companions and reach
the Epilogue he desires. But this salvation is cruel, as the Epilogue he
dreams of is not the Hope his companions believe in, he is. He destroys
himself and their Hope over and over again for his own sake. Yes, they
were saved, but at what cost?
This is further emphasized during the #10th Scenario < 73rd Demon King >
Kim Dokja prepares his companions to fight a boss, equipping them with
the Hope and knowledge they need to survive the fight. And yet, when the
original Demon King of the Scenario is removed due to his Fate, someone must take its place for the end he wishes to reach, so Kim Dokja betrays them. He asks them to "Believe in me."
despite the prophecy that he will truly die this time, forcing them to
destroy their own Hope through their Hope in him, and kill him, or be
killed by him. Upon his death becoming a Demon King and gaining the
modifier < Demon King of Salvation >, destroying the Hope of his Fate in the process.
This theme is further reinforced all throughout ORV which embodies the Hope aspect as a whole. I plan to get to how his classpect influences the Epilogue the story as a whole, butttt that'll require so much ORV info dumping that I'll leave it for another time LOL
