I've recently decided to get into creepypastas because of a video where someone rewrote Jeff the Killer. I honestly do not regret getting into it, it was very interesting.

The original Jeff the Killer story is very,, well lets just say, sloppy- for lack of a better term.
It was definitely written by a young teen so of course it was not perfect, however, it did have potential with its characters, specifically Liu Woods, and Jeff himself.

The next creepypasta I've listened(I was listening to audio-readings of the creepypastas themselves while doing other tasks) was Ben Drowned. I didn't get to finish listening to it in its entirety, but I will say I got rather bored of it. I'm not someone who has played any Zelda game before, so my knowledge of it is super limited, and the story was definitely catered towards fans of the game, so I was not the target audience for it. It did have potential yes, but since I am not familiar with the game, I couldn't understand anything that was really going on.
•┈┈┈••✦Ticci Toby✦••┈┈┈•
The creepypasta that I found most memorable(besides Pastra's version of Jeff the Killer) was Ticci Toby's. Perhaps its because I can relate to it somewhat, although not in the ways you'd think. An older teen, who has similar mental ailments as I do, who is lonely and feels isolated from the world, who never truly felt like he fit in anywhere, and with a member of his family who didn't really help him feel better. It's no wonder that character stuck with me. Not only that, but his design is a very interesting one, him, history and his design have so much potential, it's just that the story itself, being written by a younger teen, wasn't as well written as it could've been. I know the author themself has a very complicated relationship with that story and character, so I don't know if I could even rewrite it someday. Perhaps with permission, who knows.

I listen to these creepypastas while exercising funny enough, they help pass the time, and have brought me comfort despite the morbid material. I understand some of the characters, they were written by lonely teens, so it was natural most of the characters fit that description. As someone who is lonely, I find comfort in those characters, because they make me feel less alone in feeling like that.
When I was little, Slenderman was my favorite one. He was the only one from the creepypasta fandom I really knew of, besides Jeff the Killer, but something about Slenderman made me feel comforted. Perhaps it was the fanart and animations I've seen of him being friendly with children, which is ironic if you read his stories. I didn't even know that they had stories, I just thought they were random characters from some media I didn't know.
Here's the video that started it all for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKdxlGy_2N0&ab_channel=Pastra
