I've heard so many horror stories about it that I'm intrigued and now want to internet surf it deeply. wish me luck ya'll, hope I'm not traumatized and instead find HD anime scans of cool art

Black Market Stray Cat	1722915981 i feel like 4chan has a very undeserved reputation from shitty youtubers overdramatizing dumb stuff that happens on the internet, it's just a hobby imageboard. browse the boards that cater the most to your interests (/a/ for anime, /jp/ for otaku culture, /v/ for video games, /co/ for western comics and cartoons, /s/ or /e/ for porn, /mu/ for music, /fa/ for fashion so on and so fourth). even with all its faults (poor and inconsistent moderation and the userbase can be really hostile sometimes, though that's not the website's fault) i still find it more tolerable than most of the net. some of my most treasured recent memories are stuff like talking about neo twewy on /v/, watching tokyo mew mew new with /a/, reminisicing about 2000s otaku culture and anime fandom on /jp/, or finding lolita fashion threads on /fa/. hell, i've made actual friends that i gave my actual contact info to and talk to about games and anime in private through those places. in my opinion, you automatically lose any ground to stand on when it comes to critiquing 4chan at all if you frequent twitter, every thing people complain about when it comes to 4chan is literally more applicable to twitter. i think /b/ was originally the "off topic" section back when 4chan was just a dedicated anime imageboard but now it's just porn, though sometimes even there you find interesting discussion. M&M	1722298456 It's mostly just porn and slurs. It's not as prominent on some of the more normal boards like /vg/ and /co/ though. It's still there but you'll mostly see it on boards like /b/, /pol/ and /r9k/. /x/ is basically a psych ward but it can be entertaining to browse. Report Comment
