Thief

i dreamt i was playing a game called "Thief" with someone whose name i forgot. the game had a retro look with realistic lighting, giving off a vibe similar to the 2012 Slenderman game. the person with me was apparently my friend. we had two characters to choose from, both of whom looked like Simon Henriksson from cry of fear. one was identical to him, and the other was a tall and stretched version of him. the goal of the game we were playing was to enter houses and survive the night while monsters tried to break in. we could use various objects to lock the doors and block the monsters.

when the game started, my friend and i went to a house where an NPC, probably named "Robert" or "John Blank," opened the door and walked out into the darkness. his body was completely strange and distorted, resembling a monster from the They Hunger HL1 mod. i remember he was the only character in the game with a name. we entered the house he had left and locked the three doors with chairs, tables, and boxes.

when the timer ran out, the monsters were released, and we had to survive. they started breaking down the doors and boxes. my friend and i spotted the main monster of the night, which looked like the intruder from the Mandela Catalogue. when they broke through, we began running through the dark city. i got separated from my friend and started running from the monsters. the appearance of a common monster in the game was similar to the stray from Ultrakill. surviving the first night was quite easy.

when we reunited, we went to another house to protect ourselves and survive. this time, my friend told me to look outside, where there was a house on top of a hill. he said i would see the "witch," and when the timer ran out, there she was at the house on the hill. after that, she disappeared and started attacking the doors around us. eventually, she broke through the doors and entered the house, but we escaped again and managed to evade her for a while. i got separated from my friend again, and at this part, i don't remember clearly, but maybe the witch caught and killed me, and then i was spectating my friend. he survived the night once more, reaching the third and final night.

i don't remember exactly what the monster of the third night looked like; i vaguely recall a giant centipede or the bridge worm from Trevor Henderson. anyway, he survived and reached the end of the game, where he met a character identical to Simon, and something happened that i can't quite recall. then the credits rolled, and we finished the game.
