As green as grass

As smooth as glass

The freshest in the bunch

A truly delightful munch

It may be simple and small

But it is worth a brawl

The texture is alright

But because of the taste, I fight

It has no designated time

Can be breakfast, lunch, or dinnertime

But never eating it is a crime

Since it only costs a few dimes

Only when it is fresh, it is good

The Avocado must be understood

It may taste like mesh

There are many benefits for eating it

But please, do not eat the pit

It may be green and wonky

But it doesn't look like a donkey
