Rambling about SpaceHey and modern social media

Hey there! So, this is my first blog on here, I'm still in the process of figuring out how things work here since I never used MySpace or anything similar before.

Basically, I used Twitter all the time until two weeks ago, when I discovered this site. I realized that the majority of social media sites are not for, well... socializing. I got tired of all those sites with endless scrolling of content that you don't really care, ads, bots, scams and generally not the most friendly environment to relax.

SpaceHey might not be perfect, but it's way closer to being a solution to this problems. I LOVE the fact that you have the ability to customize your profile to your heart's content and not just a banner and a profile image. Also, I think the default template for the profile is built in a way that encourages making new friends. You know, by having sections dedicated to explain your interests, favorite movies, books, etc. It's just a clever way to see if you can connect with other user. Also, the blinkies, stamps and userbars make everything so much more expressive!!! I'm still searching for cool ones, but they are amazing!

 I just love the freedom that each user has to express themselves and can't understand how the other sites doesn't have something like this (the closest thing I've seen is Tumblr, but it's not as complete as here I think)

So basically those are my first impressions using SpaceHey. I've always been in the role of an observer in other sites (like, just consuming content from other users but never participating in anything) but I'll try to participate more here! anyways, I'm heading out, see you!

PD: sheesh, trying to organize your thoughts while forming coherent sentences in a language that you're not used to speaking is harder than I expected :P
