The same, yet somehow different

Sometimes I feel as though I’m an early adopter but it’s actually the opposite, we’re too late to catch on.

When something becomes “mainstream” I feel as though but looses a sense of what made it cool and unique.

But how do we keep something to ourselves and yet also share it with the world, at least without simultaneously feeling like we’ve lost all control anyway?
