Hey SpaceSleepers (48): Talking About Nice Things

I am aware that I often talk about things I dislike in my life and the somewhat unflattering things that happen to me. I hope you don't take that as a testament of my character, and in case you have, I've decided to write this entry about things that I enjoy that are utterly mundane.

To start off, I really like showering. I like finding a good temperature for the water, dipping my head under the faucet to dampen my hair as quickly as possible and moving the bucket under it afterwards. I like watching the bucket I scoop water from fill up while massaging the shampoo in my hair. It's soothing to squat down to wash off all the sweat and dirt and pollen from my skin after I come home or at night after a long day. My favorite part is to look at soapy water at the bottom of the tub, knowing I have washed off every bit of the day into it. On some days, showering truly is the highlight, especially on particularly lousy ones because they always make me feel better.

Another thing I like is completing my daily work on top of my unique work for that day at a decent time. I really like getting everything done and laying in bed knowing that I accomplished what I had to for the day, no guilt on my mind. I'm disabled (legally recognized), so I struggle with doing my daily tasks of doing my language work, writing these posts, exercising, eating food, and cleaning up. I finish all of them to various degrees daily regardless (I'd never let myself sleep without completing them), but its nice to complete them in a timely fashion. I find it all very satisfying.
