born in the wrong generation

said literally everyone on this platform before, LOL

but i mean it!! i feel like i was meant to be some socially awkward squealing fujoshi fangirl in the 2000s, but of course, the traditional fujoshi/fangirl/faux-japanese/squee so random!! culture has largely died down these days AUGh... which is a shame because it feels like home!

i kind of dont like how fandom(and by extension, the internet in general) is these days, how it's so sanitized and holier-than-thou and corporate... i should have known in 2017-2019 was the good old days while i was living in them :'(
