The dead internet theory, chat gpt, BING AI, Character AI, etc. Ai has never been promoted more and they constantly talk about the “development” of Ai, but is it just me who feels like it’s getting worse? Like Ai is learning from the internet, but if it slowly gets taken over by Ai, how is it supposed to learn? Like how images get less realistic, hands getting funkier, or not even be able to create text in images. And the push for all this Ai “art” is so aggravating, as an artist especially. It just steals other peoples real art. You can talk about how artists use references and all that but that’s exactly what they’re doing. Just referencing. But Ai is literally just taking different pieces of preexisting art and turning it into something else. It’s so cheap and lazy and trying to undermine real art. They were even talking about replacing actors with Ai?? I know it’s not just me who hates Ai but I would really like to hear what other people have to say about this

I don't even believe that AI art is art and I think a lot of people are confused. I do not care how "good looking" it is, it could be the most beautiful, magnificent piece of "art" (for lack of a better word) and I would still not care, it's still not art and it never can be. Art has never been about how "pretty" something is on the surface. There are a billion "hyper-realistic" drawings of whatever celebrity that people do but nobody pays them any attention because beyond "It looks good I guess" it has no meaning. Actually being creative and creating something new has meaning, and AI can do neither. Everything it does has already been done by a human before, so it's just meaningless. Literally just slop. For example AI may be able to replicate Vincent van Gogh, but if van Gogh never existed it could never even if given an infinite amount of time, even conceive of it. And the same goes for everything else it does. It's just slop for people that are bored(or horny? Pornography isn't exactly art anyway, so its artistic "integrity" wouldn't matter anyway(solarsands pointed this out (watch him now!))), and those that really believe it is art art are soulless, and I don't take what they say seriously. They are just hedonists, I think that's a good word to describe them anyway lol.
Also it looks ugly most of the time anyway.

I fucking hate ai also. Its slowly ruining the internet at this rate, They now make music, art, and even fucking speed paints, why would you make an ai that makes speed paints for? It seems like those stinky AI bros just like to annoy real artists who use years of their lives to draw or learn to make music. Ai is also dangerous if used incorrectly, i remember seeing that a poor like 19 maybe 25 (?) years old girl just uploaded some innocent photos were she looks gorgeous and some hijos de su puta madre decided that it would be a great idea to use ai to make her look naked and post those photos. It could also be used to scam people looking for art or someone to comission. Ai needs MUCH more regulation and much more laws and rules.

im so tired of it and it feels like im the only one who has a problem with ai everyone around me uses ai art for pfps or stickers like its not even that good??? its so genuinely ugly i ccant actually fathom people liking it, it looks completely thoughtless
it literally looks like a robot with no thoughts drew it and thats exactly what it is! its souless nd is a complete disrespect for all artists in the whole

AI sucks! I can't wait to see it gone from the internet. But companies keep pushing it into our faces. For some reason every time I visit a new website it has some AI feature or a chat bot, and even ads I see talk about AI. Who even wants this shit???
Not even talking about the lives it is ruining and going to ruin. So many jobs that are going to disappear (like any art job). And the fact that it is going to be used by some creeps online to make porn videos of random woman (and children) to blackmail them. Imagine getting your life destroyed because someone hates you and used AI to make a picture or a video of you doing illegal shit, and because there is no regulation people will believe it.
AI WILL ruin our lives, I just hope it will destroy itself before it has the chance (although I know it is already to late and HAS destroyed peoples lives).

I feel like ai is supposed to help people or guide them, but everyone is using it to gain something, and the developers think that we can make the world a scifi film in the next five years by upgrading the ai way too quick and in an inexperienced way so the ai becomes shit

I'm really hoping it ends up imploding on itself, as the future of humanity truly is at stake here.
Artificial ''intelligence'' in the year 2024 is being used purely for malicious reasons and we've already seen people losing their jobs to it in the past year or so. I'm just hoping this madness will end before it's too late and we all end up unemployed with robots taking over our livelihoods and creativity, with the world slowly but steadily losing its human touch.

AI was fun as a joke when people were making fun of the weird generated images and all but it’s gotten worse now that big companies are willing to replace AI for the cost of actual people. I had a conversation last year with someone from an art university, I told him how I disagreed with the use of AI although it seems like he believed the technology can still be utilised properly and I guess that’s partially true. My biggest worries isn’t just regarding people in the creative industry losing their jobs but how AI can be used for so many awful and malicious things that can only be even more believable with time. If old people are getting scammed now for certain things that may seem obvious to us then just imagine in a decade’s time. Yknow it’s funny how it’s called an artificial intelligence when all it is is sort of a vessel and all of it’s “thoughts” are just taken from what already exists. I don’t believe true AI can ever be achieved because intelligence can’t be replicated, it’s God’s creation and nothing can ever replicate that
I absolutely love the way you put that and you’re totally right. It started out at something innocent but people realized they could use it for other malicious reasons, like you said scamming old people.
