Journal Entry #111: 07/22/24 - The Best Monday Ever?

✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯

Not much happened in the early part of this past week. I test-drove yet another car on Wednesday, which was quite nice. It has blue accents and has a CD player (wow!). Obviously, this is an older car. However, my parents weren't satisfied with the safety features and tried to look for a similar car. Their pursuits were kinda fruitless, so now I'm stuck between two cars: the one I just mentioned, and this gray car that is very similar and just a tiny bit bigger. My parents are allowing me to choose as there isn't any large difference in price/insurance, I guess. They told me to sleep on it tonight, and I'll likely make a decision tomorrow. I'm having such a hard time! Hopefully, the answer comes to me in my dreams!

One thing I didn't mention a couple weeks ago is that I ordered a nightlight for my apartment. It's shaped like a little retro streetlight, which is nice. It's currently in another state, so it should be here by the end of this week. I also got an amber glass bulb over the weekend for the small lamp I'm taking with me to school. Regular lights just don't feel bright enough to me for some reason. Incandescents, while wasteful, had a certain charm to them.

I had a surprisingly good day today, and I'm not really sure why. I extended my weekend, set up renter's insurance, gave a car a test drive, and relaxed and chatted with my family. I enjoyed talking with my family the most, as my mind is once again realizing that I'm going to have to leave them again lol. Although they bother me to bits sometimes, I still love them, of course. It's late July, so summer break is quickly coming to a close. I can already tell it's getting dark earlier. Also, I'm about ready to go back (mentally speaking). There are still lots of preparations to be made: packing, finalizing plans, etc. There are still some things I want to do, of course. One thing I took for granted when my hometown was my permanent home, was the fact that it has a river. I see it at least twice a week while I'm here. I need to pay it a visit before I leave.

As for this week, I hope to set everything up so that I can vote absentee in November, attend my grandmother's birthday party, and continue working on my coding project.

Boa noite,
