apartment update!!

okay so the idea i had in mind with this whole blog was to basically have a place to look back on some memories and moments while being in my 20s (im 21 :3).

anyways, me and my mom went up to chicago to tour the apartment that i have been *dying* to get. the tour was at like- 10am and i was so excited and happy!! when we got there, the property manager and my roommate's dad met us and we were going to see one apartment first but she didn't have the key so we went to go see the other place and OH. MY. GOD. IT WAS GORGEOUS!! it was a beautiful open concept type of apartment. like- the kitchen and living room flowed together and weren't separate rooms. i immediately started to think about what i wanna do with the place >.< the only downside is that the room with an ensuite bathroom is significantly larger than the other bathroom and even has a larger closet. i would LOVE to have it, but i also know i would have to pay more. the mature, "i am 21" logical side of me says i should just let her have it, but the silly, impulsive side of me says i should just get it and budget for it. i wouldn't mind either way. anyways, the place also had this really cute and private back patio area and ugh i loved so much. i was low-key thinking about making it into the cutest little smoke spot since its covered and i have money to spend on silly things like this.

after we saw that one we returned to the first place we couldn't get into and i immediately wasn't a fan. i think its because the current tenants hadn't fully moved out and the way they decorated the space made it look more crammed than it actually was, but i also wasn't really thrilled with the fact that the microwave was kinda broken and the fridge looked a little worn. we also didn't have the private back patio area and the balcony faced into the courtyard where all the apartments were rather than out to the street (the other one did). we left and immediately let the lady know we liked the first one better. we began our applications that day (once everyone paid the $80 application fee, it'll be taken off the market).

fast forward to rn but we have fully submitted everything (would've been sooner if it wasn't for the internet outage) and now are just waiting on a response!!

ahh fingers crossed wish me luck everyone i am so anxious and excited!!
