The hills have eyes (1977) - i'm not sure what to think

Another movie review here!! I found this movie on a disturbing movie iceberg. The thing that most caught my attention was the title. Man, I loved the title of this movie; it's genious in a way I can't explain.

Straight to the movie, I'm not really sure what to think. I mean, I liked it! Had a great time watching it, but it wasn't really revolutionary; it was just a good old slasher movie to watch in a lonely sunday afternoon. 

The premise is promising, not gonna lie, I just wish they explored it more deeply (especially the nuclear experiments thing). I feel like they had a really good idea but a pretty "ok" execution. Also, I expected this movie to be a lot more disturbing. I mean, yes, the movie is pretty disturbing, some of the practical effects are great and actually gruesome, but most of them are honestly not very convincing. The lack of really disturbing movie aspects doesn't make the movie bad, though; maybe that's on me.

Overall, the movie is a 7/10, a good movie, but could've been better. I think this movie would be great to watch on a drunken night with friends, having snacks, and complaining about how dumb some of the characters are (really, that blond girl pissed me off).
