I’ve only been here for a few hours, and I literally JUST checked the blogs about 3 hours ago.
all I see is controversy after controversy, you guys all whine about how this community is supposed to be #positivevibes and all that stuff yet you keep on posting about grooming and mental illnesses. YOU’RE THE PROBLEM.
and the thing is, some people here actually seem like nice people, but all I see on the front page is bullshit blogs about the same garbage like 3 times over.

I've lost more braincells here in 2024 than I had ever lost on Twitter or Reddit somehow, which is a surprise.
I'm starting to think most of the problem is that the people who use certain sites are just insufferable cunts. We're entirely removed from anything which would cause the issues of a site such as Twitter/Reddit, most notably on how there's no way to doomscroll, yet outside of small groups or DMs, this site is more insufferable on average. I'm impressed if anything.

Ragebait often lures people yes, but only on SpaceHey have I seen it so insufferable. Twitter, for example, at least everyone already expects extreme amounts of trolling or they just move on quick so unless they get into a hellthread, it doesn't do anything. On SpaceHey, these people actually take the bait seriously, especially if they're 12 to 14. Half the time it's obvious bait and the other half of the time it's just a very poorly expressed post with an otherwise usually good point.
The ragebait isn't even entertaining because it's never about something irrelevant that others are getting worked up over, but usually something that actually has to be taken seriously, even if it seems to end up rarely being true (such as pedophilia or grooming allegations, or even funnier racism allegations, since on those you can just troll on, along with a ton of other similar things). As a result, I usually just stay in my own group or within the DMs here, as groups+DMs are far more sane as you can just kick the dumbasses out.

Stuff like that gets to the top because ragebait lures people in to comment on it. From what I've seen its a lot better of an experience if you sort by time and not popularity. Or just go straight into the blog tags that youre interested in
