I have accidentally fallen into the trap of becoming a "music person" and I cant believe I'm going to say it, but it's amazing.
I've been dramatically branching out my music taste to the point of absolute obscurity (not that liking obscure musicians and bands makes you better than anyone, because it doesn't!) as well as listening to more popular music artists in genres I typically don't dive into (I'm currently in what I would call the surface level of goth music, but I really like it!)
There is also my newfound obsession with cassette tapes. I don't currently own any, but I am going to buy some blank tapes, a tape recorder, and make my own unique mixtapes! I want to burn CD's too, but the software on my laptop doesn't allow it even with a disc drive :(
At the end of the day, I'm just having so much fun with the music I enjoy now! I was initially just going to try to branch out my music taste to "seem" like what someone would consider a "music person" because I thought it would make me seem more interesting, but I accidentally stumbled into actually enjoying music the way I feel is right for me. So weird. I was also initially trying to get into traditional "emo" music as well, but now my taste is everywhere and I kinda love it??
Life is good and music makes it better
