this is my epic trip to fort worth/dallas, texas post

last month my dad offered to pay for me and my bf to come visit my family in TEXAS !!!!!!! i used to go to texas with my dad a lot when i was younger but i hadn't been since like . 2012 or something . my bf has never even been that far west from alabama so we were EXCITED AS FREAAAK !!!!! we left our kitty smudge safely in the hands of his aunt (my friend caroline) and made the freaking trek . 

june 13

the car ride was 12 hours long . I didnt drive a single second so it was chill i guess ........... #passengerprincess !  heres me at TEXAS SIGN !!!! ignore my stance..... i think i was being attacked by a bug ......

right after we left this rest stop the roads got actually insane. texas highways/turnpikes are not effing real . we were literally fearing for our lives out there . why are there 4 exits on the left and right every mile . why are there so many bright flashing lights . genuinely we were afraid . we were not in freaking south alabama anymore .....

we got to the hotel my dad booked for us and it was so stressful because the front desk lady was being weird and kind of mean and i cried a lot. but i was like its ok because tomorrow is gonna be full of adventures and new beginnings ... and we got a freaking king size bed like isnt that awesome. it just made me want to get a king size bed for home because i kept imagining how comfortable my baby smudge would be walking around on such a huge bed. 

we also got a handicap room which meant the shower was weird and it was also broken and the shower head kept falling on our feet and it hurt really bad actually so i hope they fixed that before someone who actually needed the handicap room stayed there ...

june 14

the first thing we did this morning was go to our very first 7/11 !!!!! the one closest to our hotel was sort of like a mini 7/11 but they still had this amazing coffee machine that made me a freaking iced latte. it put the syrup and the espresso shots and milk And cold foam in my cup . all by itself. i was like what the hell . i had never seen anything like it . i work at starbucks so this was very exciting to me...  we had HOTEL BREAKFAST as soon as we got back !!!! i think hotel breakfast is so fun and underrated . TEXAS SHAPED WAFFLE ALERT my dad (+aunt and uncle) picked us up and we went to eat at b.b.q chicken . oh my god. i know bbq is a chain but holy shit . ive never had chicken crunchier and more delicious than that chicken. we also got a corn salad and french fries :3 and they play kpop in there !!!!! it was the perfect place for me ..... my safe place .... i took a couple pics but they're all so bad cause we were tearing it upppp bad . 

then we went to a HUGE HMART !!!we were literally looking around so shocked. i dont think i had ever been to one before. i saw this rly cute hello kitty toilet paper .then something bad happened. I found a kpop store inside of the hmart . I actually only spent a little under 100 bucks .... i got BTS dark and wild, chuu howl, choi yena good morning, and a rly cute hello kitty pc holder :33333 there was a cinnamoroll fan i SHOULDVE GOTTEN but i was trying to be financially responsible. i regret it every day . if u ever think "wow i really like this thing . and it would be useful in my daily life." Just freaking get it

we went back to my aunts house and waited for the biggest most delicious dinner ever. they had a MOVIE THEATRE room in there !?!?! i watched kpop videos in that mofo. nayeon abcd had just come out the night before so i watched her stages on da big screen. 

here are the sashimi platters one of my uncles prepared for every 1 :3 i actually ate so much of the salmon . honestly i was hogging the salmon . but look how much there was . so it was ok. we also had a huge bbq dinner i took a pic but honestly the plate was so low vibrational i only wanted to include the sashimi pic. but it was so good and we pigged outttttt . me and the bf were immediately ready to go back to the hotel and pass out so my dad took us back :3 it was really really nice to see all of my family again and they all seemed to really get along with my boyfriend :333

ok so we actually didnt go to sleep. we went to the hotel pool. bf and i have been dating for 2 years and we actually had never been swimming together before LOL so we literally had to !!!! it had been a long ass time since i went swimming period so i was rly enjoying myself ... do u guys like my claw clip :3 i feel like it gives aespa supernova ....

june 15

the agenda for today was to go visit my grandma's grave and then jus party and have fun the rest of the day i guess . idk if this is just a vietnamese thing but both sides of my family always have a get together on the death anniversary of our relatives . i wasn't very close with my grandma on this side of my family but it was really good to see her grave. it was a seriously beautiful graveyard and tbh i got some inspo there of how i would want to be buried .... no pic of my grandmother's grave but it was chill LOL. bf also had his first banh mi in the car on the way there

we went straight to arlington, texas to go to "asia times square". it was like a huge asian shopping center with restaurants and fun stuff !!! we had lunch at a vietnamese restaurant . where we live has ONE vietnamese restaurant that's incredibly MID so being able to get viet food was something i was rly looking forward to. i had pho tai bo vien (i literally always get this anywhere im able to) and bf had bun bo hue for the first time !! it was all so effing yummy . 

we did some exploring of Asia times square (so funny) and got dessert . bf won me a bootleg meowth plushie from a claw machine. heres Me in Asia Times Square with my MEOWTH !!!

after that we left my family to do some exploring of our own.... we found out there was a COSMCS where we were !!!! which is like the weird mcdonalds spinoff thing that serves crazy drinks and special treats like donut holes. we got a sampler pack of the donuts and each got a yummy drink . it was honestly really weird. we were the only people there and there were like 3 tables inside . the donuts were seriously good though i didnt even get a pic cause we ate them so fast . i thought their drink lids were really cute  . i actually recommend going to cosmc's if u see one but u won't miss anything if u just go thru the drive thru..

we went to a few video game/comic book stores for the boyf and then he started driving us to a mystery location ..... and we ended up at the fort worth stockyards !!! this is a rly popular place for fort worth visitors so why not !!!!!! we honestly wanted to see them walk all of the cattle through the street but we missed the times they do that  . all there was to do was look at shops and walk around so we did that :3 we didnt rly get anything but a big bag of candy at this shop that had the most  saltwater taffy i had ever seen . i dont eat saltwater taffy because i have TMJ but i love to look at it ..... this was our last night in fort worth with my family so we had one last dinner with everyone ! i honestly dont even remember what all we ate. the last thing i ate before we said goodbye to everyone was crab legs. my dad got all of the crab meat out for me LOL at my big age . like yes im 20 years old but i am still the baby here . i was so sad to say bye to everyone especially my dad :( but everyone invited us back next year !!!!! for my cousin's wedding !!! so the festivities will be even bigger next time if we're able to go !!!!!! 

we were stuffed as hell at this point but we Had to try something .... something we never had before ....IN N OUT BURGER !!!! we had to make sure to try this before we left bc duh .. i didn't think it stood out from any other burger but it was good ! and i tore up them fries too . lol we were barely hungry we just rly wanted to try and do everything we could :3 it was finally time to go to bed and prepare for our trip home tomorrow .....

june 16

we woke up super late. like i woke up 3 minutes before we were supposed to check out of the hotel and bf was still asleep . i was frekaing out . but it wasnt a big deal actually . it was my first time in a hotel without my mom so i had totally forgotten that check out time was a thing . we said goodbye to our hotel .... and started to go home .......

SIKE we stopped in dallas ! i requested we try a very special place that i love but never am able to eat ..... Jolli effing bee . i LOVE jollibee and would have it everytime i visited dallas as a kid. i might've been more excited for this part of the trip than any other part . i got spicy chicken with adobo rice . bf got spicy chicken with spaghetti . and we got a peach mango pie :3 omg . YUM !!!!!!! i can literally imagine how it feels to eat this meal rn as im typing about it . i didnt take a pic. it was too intimate and personal . and we were literally still stuffed from the day before . i couldn't not eat jollibee .....

the last thing we did in texas was go to a really big mall. im not really even sure what the name of the mall was . it was just one that was closest to this jollibee . it was a big ass mall. imagine living in south alabama where malls are just dead and then going to this gigantic Texas mall . we at least burned off that jollibee meal walking around there . we aren't really in a place to ball out here but i got some new underwear from aerie and i bought bf the cutest apron from williams sonoma. he was so happy inside of the williams sonoma i just had to . 

this marked the end of our texas trip .... we went straight from the mall parking garage to our home in alabama 12 hours away ...... Ok we actually stopped in louisiana to eat at raising canes bc we also dont have that . but we've both had it before we just love it

 we seriously had so much fun and it made us want to travel a lot more . unfortunately my car broke down like 3 days after we got home and is still broken as im typing these words. but SOON we will be back out on the freaking road so beware of Us.
