I broke my laundry bin, but life is unfortunately more than a laundry bin lid

Remember when I said that I was going skating on Tuesday? That :( didn't go as planned :(

basically, we didn't pre-book and they informed us that the rink is only open on weekends and school holidays...which is a bit silly because they're missing out on a very big demographic of adult/older teen skaters that HATE CHILDREN!!! Also its not like they have to roll out a mat or anything THE RINK IS LITERALLY ALWAYS THERE SO WHY NOT HAVE IT OPEN ON THE SAME DAYS AS THE SOFT PLAY AREA??? So we were turned away BUT I WAS DETERMINED TO STILL MAKE THE DAY GO WELL!! THIS WAS MY FRIENDS FIRST TIME ON A BUS AND WONDERING AROUND A NEW PLACE ON HIS OWN, AFTER ALL!!

New plan: skate in a park not too far from the original place! Well this plan was another FAILURE because THEY LOCK UP PARKS OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS??? WHAT THE SCALLOP I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE.. IT WASN'T EVEN ON SCHOOL PROPERTY IT WAS JUST A RANDOM PARK IN A RANDOM NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

No worries, no worries at all. Let's take a bus back into town and go watch a movie instead!! and OH LOOK CINEMA IS NOT OPEN YET!! Okay, yet, it's fine, it's the afternoon now anyway so lets go get some food and come back when the cinema is open!! The only thing that went right was the fact that we got our Mcdonalds orders with no fuss and my friend bought me a mcflurry (nice!) We sat there for a while and then made our way back to the cinema as it was about to open, had our FREEE tickets booked (thanks to my father) to see a quiet place day 1, which I've already seen but it was either that or minions.

Small but important fact, this friend I am with is about the same age as me but he looks about TWELVE!! AND WE!! DID NOT HAVE ANY FORM OF IDENTIFICATION!! AND THIS WAS NOT THE NORMAL CINEMA I GO TO SO THEY DON'T KNOW ME!!! Long story short, they denied us entry, which is fair and reasonable, I don't actually have any complaints. 

We don't know what plan number we're on at this point, but I remember that there's a really nice ice cream shop in the gardens and ruins type area, and it's not too far from where we were!! So off we went, foolish, jacketless and slightly chilly. 

Yes, we did not bring jackets, nor did we check the weather because we're STUPID apparently!! we make it to the gardens and as soon as we get to the ice cream place, which has no indoor seating, it started CHUCKING it down. Like almost HAIL and VERY INTENSE!! Luckily, me and my friend took shelter under one of those awfully large umbrellas for a table. Despite this, we were still getting absolutely soaked and I decided that after today, we DESERVE that GOD DAMN ICE CREAM.

So there I was, fighting through the storm for the entire like 1 minute distance between our table and the bit where you order, on my way to get the BEST HOMEMADE MANGO ICE CREAM TO EVER GRACE THIS EARTH!! AND I DID!! I OBTAINED IT!! AND I MADE MY WAY BACK!! WITH SUCCESS!!

With this massive W uplifting my ego, we soon realized that we would have to stay here for an hour because we had only JUST missed the bus, which is fine! It gave us time to eat and time for the rain to die down completely! About 40 mins later, we agree to start making our way back to the bus station so we can FINALLY go home, and guess what, WE DID NOT MISS THE BUS!! WE GOT ON!! AND THEN GOT OFF AT OUR STOP!! WITH NO PROBLEMS!!

At this point, it was 6PM, which doesn't sound THAT bad, BUT WE LEFT AT 9AM. 9. AM.

and then my parents called me to say that I should meet them at our local restaurant, which was nice. 

Overall, not an AWFUL experience, just not an expected one! I still got to spend time with my friend who I love, and we DID have fun laughing at our misfortune and stupidity, which all started when he forgot to thank the bus driver and said "we're going to have bad luck now" .. oh how right he was. I was going to mention some other life events in this post, as this is a weather update, but this has dragged on for too long now so I will say my goodbyes and save those stories for my next post!!
