On this blog i will be discussing horrible things that the new instagram update has brought upon its users, as well as some solutions to the issue. There will be harsh topics on this blog; z00ph1lia, sckshual things ppl posted, g0rę, etc.. (basically horrifying and graphic things) if those things bother you, then skip the purple texts ‼️

i dont have the energy to retype everything from my bulletin thing so here it is:

So today (as of Thursday, July 18th of 2024), instagram made an update where you can post notes on other people's posts for your mutuals and close friends to see. Unfortunately, that backfired as people started to post notes on highly disgusting, concerning and even inhumane things which lead to more people seeing them especially on their feed.

People have been complaining about how weird and disgusting their feeds and tl got ever since the new update came on. Many people have tried to reach out to instagram about it as well as posting about it and tagging insta or going to the official insta acc's posts.

These posts consist of things such as a person 🍇 - ing animals, a man and a woman the guy spins around in the woman, a woman giving b1rth to what seems to be a d3c3ased baby uncensored and showing everything, a guy eating right out of the gf (GROSS WHAT) someone putting lit up fireworks up their bum, and many other things im greatful i havent seen.

One of my mutuals sent me one of those videos (I DIDNT CONSENT TO IT, BUT AT LEAST I GOT TO FIND SOME THINGS OUT) and it turns out that on that post there has been over 2 MILLION VIEWS in just a few hours.

For the solutions so far, only one person reached out to me and said that after trying to find the 'uninterested' button and not working, he just uninstalled and redownloaded instagram. Some people however can't do that if they forgot their passwords or their information. Some reported just logging off for the day and coming back later to a normal feed. I am still currently asking around and figuring out how else to get rid of it. (once i do i will update this blog with more about it.) Another solution is contacting through insta (@starcollecting) and asking for the reels i have to tune their feed. a lot of my mutuals thanked me and told me that the reels i sent tuned their feed and helped it get back to where it was or at least made it decent. YOU DONT HAVE TO KEEP FOLLOWING ME AFTER THATS DONE, YOU CAN JUST UNFOLLOW AND REMOVE ME AS FOLLOWER ‼️

Some people havent gotten the update, so their feeds havent been affected. I, however, have the update yet i havent seen anything out of the ordinary, in fact my feed has been so pure 😭 i doubt ill ever see anything horrible in my feed.

I AM SOO THANKFUL that i didnt get the nasty stuff in my feed unlike all my mutuals, i feel so bad for them.

If you have instagram u might know how bad it is if you got the update. I hope it comes back to normal and the ig team ACTUALLY DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT FOR ONCE !!!!
