SUICIDE ROOM RANT + WHERE TO WATCH

this is NOT a review. its a rant

Okay. THIS IS MY FAVOURITE MOVIE EVER. its such an amazing movie and i recommend to watch it!! i fucking love that movie sm omfkghsjdgbskjdgbrekthkegbv

Here's some of my thoughts on the film;

Sylwia's Character + my opinions on her.

people dont understand Sylwia's character. She is NOT a bad person, she did bad things. Hurt people hurt people. She didn't exactly know what she was doing. As we see in the last scene of the film you can see she regretted her actions HEAVILY. She was so desensitised to what she was doing she genuinely just didnt understand how her actions were going to affect him. Dominik wasn't supposed to die. I'm sick and tired of people saying Sylwia was the villain, she wasn't. she needed help just as much as Dominik did. BUT that does NOT excuse for what she did to him.

Dominik's character + my opinions on him.

I absolutely HATE when people depict Dominik as "a spoiled rich brat", yeah sure he might be privileged but that doesn't discard what he has been through? He isn't the "perfect victim" some people want him to be and it annoys me sm. Victims have flaws. Abusers have flaws. PEOPLE have FLAWS. Dominik had flaws. He didn't throw "tantrums" he had a mental breakdown. REPEAT AFTER ME; HE DIDNT THROW TANTRUMS HE HAD A MENTAL BREAKDOWN. Through-out the whole movie we see him spiralling into a great depression. I wouldn't be opposed to calling it a psychotic break. Just because he isn't an innocent perfect victim does not mean he isn't a victim at all. he is. and so is Sylwia. Dominik is one of the most realistic characters i've seen in film, if Dominik was female y'all wouldn't be saying this shit!!

Was Dominik inlove with Sylwia?

No, i don't think so. Dominik and Sylwia's relationship was literally the definition of a trauma bond (definition here) 

My final thoughts;

this movie is so unique. I've never seen a movie that competes to it. It's very VERY realistic. Dominik's actor did an amazing job at acting the character. Some scenes were genuinely tough to watch, i cried quite a few times watching it so if you cant handle those types of things i dont recommend watching. Anyone who has been publicly shamed, bullied, or has been through some sort of trauma like that will relate to Dominik's character. YAP TO ME ABOUT THIS MOVIE PLS.
