Genshit Impact

LMAO this is random I just wanted to rant about this game and see who agrees

For context I'm AR 59 and quit during Sumeru so I played quite a lot

I've been seeing lots of discourse surrounding the new region/characters and all I can say is I'm not really surprised. Hoyoverse does whatever will make them money, which is primarily in their Chinese market. They know Chinese players will spend hundreds of dollars on cute new characters, NOT TO MENTION the gooner bait of the pyro archon. that bitch in full on spandex with her cleavage out like cmon bro

even regardless of the characters not having wide variety, the game itself just kinda sucks

if you want good items you have to spend months farming for a CHANCE to get something that's remotely useable. The rewards you get from the open world are miniscule, the events always suck and barely give rewards as well. their prices for "micro"-transactions are WAYYY too high, and the FOMO they purposefully put into their game is what makes addicted players keep logging on every single day every week. worst of all is their banner rates. you could waste months worth of saved up currency just to get one character, but that's still a big IF. gotta spend upwards of $50-$100 if you don't already have the currency saved up it's just predatory towards desperate gooner losers who wanna see some pixels on a screen and do 10k more damage

I rlly hope people stop giving that piece of shit company money because they're just greedy to the core since they tasted one bit of wealth. Not to mention ZZZ coming out (which also looks like shit) is just another source of income from them with I guarantee the same rates for characters. New aesthetic same shit lol

anyways lemme know what y'all think. I love shit talking that company and their games now that I've quit

I've not played genshin in years, but I totally agree with these points. all of their games are the same, just with a different coat of paint - farming for items takes forever. And honestly, the games just aren't even that great. Genshin was always kind of similar to breath of the wild in my eyes, and when I eventually stopped playing I didn't feel any compulsion to go back to it.

maybe like for the first year I was captivated by the combat and elements system - but once I got to artifact farming and having to complete endless timed event quests that contain a novels worth of dialogue I got sick of it

I also quitted playing during Sumeru! I downloaded it again recently (friend made me do so) and played for like a month but i deleted it again because i was fr getting burned out playing it.

It’s shit tons of fun seeing all the discourse going on in twt though.. people going back and forth about hoyo being a bullshit of a company and the amount of ppl trashing the new characters. ;;; Would boycotting hoyo even work? I highly doubt it, especially on how big the company already is now..

idk if it would work they have like millions of players, hard to organize something of that scale between all their games

and yeah the burn out is real because everything you do that doesn't require resin takes like 10 years to finish
