Alright, so I'm turning this account into something else ( also thoughts on social media things )

Over the last couple of months, I have not been active on this account - and for mostly good reasons. College, IRL stuff, health concerns ( not bad concerns ) - all the good things. I've found that I am much too use to the fast pace, ultra response that modern social media has today than back when MySpace was thing. Algorithms are ass, but they are a useful piece of ass, especially to keep attention.

I've recently been expanding my social media horizons and doing a bunch of snooping around, more or less just trying to see which social media sticks. All the different kinds of social media have their own thing to them. Discord is where you can chat, Twitter is where you can get silly memes, Instagram is where you can see...i dunno, Instagram things.

I've recently gotten into Lemon8, which is a decent app as it allows you to edit your images with cute shit, but the community is mostly made up of beautiful white women that want you to buy the latest water bottle cause it has a cute straw or something ( there are also black creators and great users to follow over there, but my feed is just *constantly* consumed with influencer white women - its insane )

cohost is a good social media platform, and with the recent update of their artist alley which I love so much, I'm slowly planning to integrate myself into that community. Maybe to talk about my series or something along those lines. I also love the ability to do some HTML and CCS bs on my own posts, as well as the edits being made on those posts being done in real time ( unlike Tumblr )

I tried Mastodon, but I quickly got a bit bored of it. I love the concept of posts being seen in real-time, especially with the different servers being their own contained community somehow - but it's not really the social media platform for me. Dunno, maybe I'll grow onto it when it grows a larger and more comfortable community, but for now, I'd rather let it steam a bit more, if that makes sense.

I also want to try Cara, which is dedicated to artists. And other kind of social medias that I am not knowledgeable on.

What kind of social media have y'all tested out or heard about? If anyone wants to comment, that is lol.
