Fun things to do?

I try to make it a point to live life like it's the 2010s again, because honestly that's the way I can best manage my time, and fully enjoy what this life has to offer.

I have a lot of hobbies, but struggle to partake in them because social media can just be really addicting to me. I delete it pretty often, but I find myself drowning my thoughts with more noise, while yet longing to give myself a break from this exessive stimulation.

Can anyone list some fun, general (or any season specific) things to do that doesn't require any sort of screen :) it would be much appreciated.

Start journaling, it doesn’t have to be daily but it helps dump some thoughts out and if ur feeling creative u can decorate pages with stickers, doodles or drawings. Use colourful pens or anything, me personally as of recently mine’s pretty boring as I just use a black pen and rarely decorate at all.

Try going to fleamarkets or thrift stores. Buy old clothing or jewellry or anything ur interested in. You can browse for hours and I’m sure that’ll keep u entertained somehow.

Origami is fun too. Since u don’t wanna use a screen u should buy a tutorial book and some origami paper which u can find in a craft store. Paper stars are also fun to make.

Thank you!
I already journal, but I've never once thought to decorate my journal in anything at all!! Stickers might be hard to use (because i'm reluctant to 'waste' some of them) but I will definitely think of adding more colour to my journal! it could give me some motive to read back on it as well!

it's also pretty hard to remember that I can always take msyelf to places I have never been before.. I will definitely make it a point to go exploring some local thrift stores/flea markets too :3

also thank you for the reminder that origami exists, LOL. I have been wanting to do some origami, but that was a long time ago. idk why i never got to it, but thanks to you I will definitely give it a try!

I totally understand the sticker thing lol. I got a large amount of stickers from last year and still haven’t used up all of them

try doing absolutely nothing.

it may sound dumb at first but it's actually really peaceful and you'd be surprised at the various ways the brain attempts to entertain itself without the help of the internet.

I’m someone who daydreams a lot and it’s rather terrifying to me knowing how long I can just last in my head doing while doing nothing in reality

I already do this! Mainly with my eyes closed, because it helps me catch up with myself after a lot of stimulation. It's really relaxing granted I don't accidentally end up going on a mental tangent hehe

next time i'll try it with my eyes open :)

do sidequests! they are very fun things to do, i enjoy doing them a lot! i will give you some ideas
* exploring your city [or a city near you that you like]. exploring is going to places that you never actually got to, and just see everything; you can go to different shops, different directions of the city, or just let your curiosity guide you, and you get to learn more about it aswell. it would be better if you got a friend to go, but if thats not the case, just be careful. you could add more fun by getting a map of the city, and then marking the places you got to. but yeah, maybe too much lol
* learn an instrument. you could learn guitar, piano, drums, and maany more. the sky is your limit for this, but you would need patience to get a good song.
* get to use your creativity to the fullest! you like drawing? try drawing something you absolutely love. you like stories? why dont you create a new one? its just SO much fun when you do this. the characters, the plot, everything. and last, poems. you can share and learn beautiful ways to share what you feel with them, even create stories with.
sorry for long text lololol

No worries! I appreciate it when peole repsond with loads of information! the more the better :)

i definitely want to explore the city more, especially in a smaller place, but I'd need my phone in order to navigate at times. I'm still working on my directional abilities ^^;;
But overall a good idea! maybe i should try printing out a map too...

i already do a lot of the other things you mention like draw, play instruments, and storywrite! i don't do poetry much if at all, though. i prefer to read it!

thank you for your reccomendations, friend :)
