superpowers

the desire to freely travel back in time has got to be one of the saddest superpowers for someone to want. to me, at least, it speaks to the natural desire to reverse your mistakes. i've undoubtedly made many decisions that in retrospect i'd like to change, or even things i wish i'd said. as much as i want to change these things, i can't. we can't go back. we truly just have to look forward. it's obvious and simple but i find myself getting caught up in looking back.
