i'm gonna fuck off to india for a few years and go learn about life. i want to learn about all aspects of life not just the one we live. i wanna be right. and i'm gonna be.
choices effect our lives differently for each choice we make. one choice could be minute like tea or coffee. another could be massive, like how long do you send someone to prison for?
what must life be like for a judge? who gives them the rights to send anyone to prison anyway? the judge is just as equal as the prisoner. the only thing that sets them apart is the power that one holds. the power to ruin someone's life. the power to crush someone's hope that they would ever move on from their mistakes, as one robbery when you are 17 could still be affecting your life at 37. he struggles to get a job cause no one will hire a man with a criminal record. shame. he can't escape the shadow of his younger self, regardless of the change he has been willing to make.
instead of asking "how do we punish?" ask "how did this happen?"
people can't properly move on with their lives when you constantly dangle their forthcomings in front of their face.
what do i know though eh? fuck all mate, fuck all.
