You can safely eat a little bit of shale and siltstone as long as you know how to find and identify it as its soft clay minerals!

Yeah! I do it all the time for work (im a geologist lol) but PLEASE dont eat anything that doesn't crumble easily it most likely contains quartz and WILL break your teeth lol
