i put this blog under the fashion, style, and shopping category because frfr i didn't know where to put it lol :p
last week i decided i finally wanted to learn how to crochet. this has been a goal for the summer and im happy its finally getting done (unlike every single new year's goal). literally i went out and bought crochet hooks and the cheapest yarn i could find and like three hours ago i sat down and started learning
it's easy to underestimate the amount of work needed for things like crocheting, knitting, and weaving it's so hard TT i think the biggest problem was that theyre so weird to hold and ur fingers have to be in a specific spot to keep tension in the yarn. hopefully with repetition the learning curve will get easier. i made two granny squares and then took a break because my hand started cramping up haha
the first square took maybe 45 minutes? (idek was probably more tbh) i think i redid it 4 times before finishing the square. the second one went much faster but there's definitely room to grow and improve
i rlly want to keep this hobby and eventually make gifts for friends and family :3

crochet is very fun and eventually you will be doing it whenever your hands are idle, its almost addicting once you get the hang of it! pinterest has a lot of free patterns you can follow
are you more interested in clothes or plushies?
agreed!! it seems like such a rewarding hobby frr id say im more interested in clothes but mostly accessories i think the tote bags, headbands, and headphone covers are so cute <333 what are u into making??

yeah theres something so fulfilling when you get to wear what you made, especially seeing your friends wear them :D
I am not really doing crochet anymore unfortunately but I used to make mostly crop tops, scarves and beanies
