At dead of night

I love at dead of night so much but I HATE how the MC has like no critical thinking skills and can't put shit together like you have to ask about two things then say "is what you said about [this] connected to what you said about [that]?", like I understand it's a game mechanic that's supposed to get you to confirm your assumption but it's also like asking "I saw you posted you're going to the park today, did you go to the park?" For example when she asked "when you said you smashed something of Jimmys, did it have to do with what you said about the cricket bats.", what else could it have been?The player is also quite at fault here and I'm just watching them run in circles while I beg for them to get a grip 😭 watching John Wolfe play it sometimes he'd immediately hide in the bathroom instead of looking first and it was sooo anxiety inducing
