Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2

I have not played either game. The controls are designed for a system much simpler than mine and the story is fully explained in the 'previous operations' part of the opening in metal gear solid anyway so ill be using that as a refrence. Truthfully, these games are around fifth and sixth chronologically.

the basic story is as follows:

Metal Gear

1995: Outer Heaven (a fortress nation in south africa, created by a feared mercenary and war hero)

The 'west' has found out that a nuclear weapon of mass destruction is being manufactured at outer heaven, so in response they instructed "Foxhound" a high tech special forces unit to take care of the situation. Big Boss [a.n. pay attention to this guy, every single game is a result of his fuckery] who is the commanding officer of foxhound and sends in 'Grey Fox' the only member of foxhound to recive the codename 'fox' and the best they have.

After a few days of his infiltration he sends his last message, 'metal gear...' then goes MIA, so Big Boss decides to send in the newest member of foxhound 'Solid Snake' (did he piss off the guy giving out codenames or something? jesus) to either rescue Grey Fox and/or finish the mission.

Snake succesfully makes a solo infiltration, joins up with the leaders of the resistance, and rescues Grey Fox. Gray Fox then tells Snake about the new nuclear weapon that funtions as a walking tank. With it, outer heaven plans to exersise dominance over the world with it being the best military equiped nation.

As Snake makes his way to metal gear and the centre of Outer Heaven, traps keep being set around him, as if someone is leaking his postion to the enemy. Eventually though, he makes his way to the 100th basement that metal gear is being held in and succesfully destroys it. But, while escaping outer heaven snake is confronted by non other than Big Boss.

Big Boss tells him his plans to create a larger military establishment and used his years as a mercenary to gain influence and members thus creating Outer Heaven. however Big Boss underestimated Snakes abilites to get so far. Having lost metal gear, he activates the self destruct in the basement, Snake and Big Boss battle it out. Snake wins and watches Outer Heaven burn, alone.

[slight spoiler for MGSV but the man that snake fought here was not quite Big Boss, but a body double]

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake

1999: Zanzibar Land (a democratic millitary regime in central asia... and a shitty name for a themepark)

The world faces an energy crisis, the supply of petrolium would not last as long as expected and the world scrambled for an alternative, but any was far from compleation. However, a czech genius and biologist, Dr Kio Marv, invented 'OILIX' a microrganism that refines petrol and makes the supply last longer.

Tentions were still rising when he is suddenly abducted with only a name to go off 'Zanzibar Land'. A regime that appered in 1997 and after defeating the Russian lead CIS army, declared indepentance. And according to their latest info at the time, Zanzibar land is nuclear armed. 

The US ordered Roy Campbell, commander in chief of foxhound to rescue Dr Marv. Campbell sends in Solid Snake to rescue Dr Marv and OILIX. Snake once agin succesfully infiltrates Zanzibar with the help of CIA agent Horry. Snake meets up with the chief engineer of the metal gear from outer heaven, Dr Pettrovich and informs snake that he was forced make another (fool me once and all that) but more interestingly that bibo was alive and well, infact he was the general commander of Zanzibar.

While trying to save the engineer snake incounters Gray Fox piloting the metal gear. He had dissapeared after the fall of outer heaven. The engineer is taken again and the woman helping them is killed by metal gear in front of Snake.

Arriving at Dr Marv's cell, Snake realised that he was dead, according to Dr Pettrovich his heart problems could not stand the torture and gave up. However, through the CIA agent Horry, he finds out that Dr Pettrovich was visting Zanzibar volentarily to help make metal gear and the abdution of Dr Marv was done on his orders. Dr Pettrovich fights snake and looses and snake gets the structural plans for OILIX.

Snake meets Grey Fox and they battle it out, Fox in the metal gear, Snake armed with just grenades, Snake wins, but Grey Fox insists that they fight hand-to-hand in a mine field, but with no hatred for one another, "during that moment of purity, the two were bound by forces transending words and emotions" (im more of a snotacon kinda guy, but this right here is gay as hell, snox4life). Snake wins, but still has one more obstacle to get though, Big Boss.

He and Big Boss exchange heated words on the nature of soliders and fight to the death. Snake wins and returns home with Horry and the plans for OILIX.

[a.n. it is revealed in Metal Gear Solid that Big Boss told Snake he was his son during the events of Metal Gear 2, so ill include it here so its less confusing. also this took me like 6 hours to do i am very happy with it :3]
