my recent discovery

today i discovered that the lead guitarist of my (dwindling) favourite band, three days grace, is a trump supporter. and has been for a while. 

i am scared shitless for my lgbtq + marginalised moots in america, knowing project 2025 and how quickly the country is descending into fascism. whether it is the heritage foundation's idea or not idc. america under trump was a dangerous place for my people. it still is.

with the help of other bands i discovered, three days grace kept me sane. they kept me alive. they got me to love myself better than an overrated k-pop group ever could. they were my new bts. 

and yet i had to figure out the hard way that a member supports and wants to enable such aforementioned shite. i know about their good terms with skillet (who i've had to stop supporting) but this is... ridiculous. 

i struggle separating art from the artist. i feel like it's... tainted. the dna of the artist immortalised in their music. 

i really don't know how i feel about this. for now i've taken them off here and my neocities.
