Style Savvy! Fashion with Passion!

I don’t really know what to say for this blog,,, except ranting about one of my favorite game franchises in the world! :3c

 BUT!

Before I can start talking about style savvy though,  should give some context before hand about what it is! (So heads up for puppy yapping!! XP)

Style savvy is a fashion game where you run your own boutique, where you design and help your customers and clients with new outfits and clothes! It was released for the Nintendo DS but is compatible on the Wii U Eshop Virtual machine (If u mod ur Wii) and backwards compatible on the Nintendo 3ds and every Nintendo console afterwards! (Sorry Nintendo Switch but you don’t have a style savvy)

it may seem boring at first but when u get later into the game it gets fun! You can design entire outfits, enter contests, and even shop at other ppl’s stores! (if your playing wireless connection with someone irl)

The game released for the Nintendo DS in the US on November 2nd 2009. October 28th 2009, in the UK, and a whole year prior in japan on the 23rd of October in 2008! The game is named differently in each region too! Style Savvy for the americas, Style Boutique for the UK, and GIRLS MODE in Japan!

Something that bums me out tho is the fact you can’t really change how your face shape looks in the game after you make your avatar, though you can still customize how you look with makeup, multiple hair styles and 10,000 options of clothing items to choose ranging from gothic and punk all the way to childish and crazy!

Personally I enjoy dressing my avatar in Gothic, Gyaru (I have to mix up some items), Scene, and Lolita Fashions! But there are 16 Brands in the game too shop from with a huge variety of styles! And with the fact there are 10,000+ options to choose from, you’ll always find something you like and enjoy!

Some of my fave things to do in the game is just design my own avatar and see what I can look best in! Even though this game is aimed towards the female demographic, it’s super fun to play as from a male! (There is no option to be a male In-Game)

Some things I dislike however is the lack of skirts there are, well there are skirts, but most don’t look so good,,, and some fashions to today’s standards don’t really align well. Preppy fashions from penbridge don’t match what people know think preppy is, but that’s ok! The other fashions align more correctly though! Like the Punk / Scene store MadJack and the gothic and Lolita store Raven candle and Marble lily!

But aside from the main gameplay, you can enter contests to win prizes and items to sell at your shop and to decorate your avatar with! There are 5 contests you can enter if you wanna complete them all. If 5 contests seem short for a game, don’t worry! The game takes around 65 hours to 100%

Seems long for a game about fashion, doesn’t it? But that just means hours of fun! And there are hundreds of customers you can meet and interact with! Each customer tells you a bit about themselves each time they come so you can learn more about them!

I highly recommend this game too any who loves fashion, gaming, or just dressing up stuff for fun! It’s like a fully fleshed out 2000’s girl dress up game but with more content and story!
