I wanna start this off with a small story.
If you've taken 2 seconds to look at my profile you would know that I'm a MASSIVE ZillaKami fan. He's what got me into the punk scene and feel represented in said scene as a black person, Dog Boy is my favorite album of all time, I saw him in San Antonio this year, I own a Dog Years Skate Club tee. Like I'm as big a fan as it gets.
But I'm on his subreddit today and it's on fire every post is going on about how, "He's so cooked!" And how disappointed they are I scroll farther and there are accusations of him having inappropriate conversations with a minor! So, safe to say that's REALLY bad!
As of now I'm neutral. I'm not gonna go "He's a groomer!" Because last time I was like that with a certain youtuber named Kwite and I was put in my place.
But I think it really put into perspective for me on how no one in the entertainment industry is as clean as they portray. I should've come to that conclusion faster, I know, I know. But it's that kind of thing you have a hard time believing until it's the person you look up to getting accused of being vile.
Just... IS IT THAT HARD??? IS IT????? TO NOT TALK TO MINORS??? TO NOT ABUSE YOUR PARTNERS??? TO NOT BE A BIGOT????? IS IT THAT DIFFICULT CAUSE THOUGH I'VE ONLY SPENT 15 YEARS ON THIS PLANET I CAN TELL YOU IT'S NOT DIFFICULT.
I'm just disappointed right now. I mean it when I say you never think it's possible til it's your idol.
